Getting Back to the Olden Days With Movie Treasures

Getting Back to the Olden Days With Movie Treasures

The most amazing thing I ever did was rent an old movie. It was a weekend trip from Florida to New York City and we had planned to see the new Batman flick. We packed our bags and hit the Bayside Parkway in Staten Island, New York. We got out of our rental car and headed towards the first location of the movie, which happens to be a theater known as “The Peepers.” The owner was a very generous guy who let us sit for an hour at the bar while he loaded our bags with peanuts, popcorn, soda and candy.

When we were done, the man who owns the theater said to us, “Do you know where the old movie is?” We told him and he showed us the counter. It was covered with old movie posters of movies we had already watched so many times. The owner was so proud of his business and invited us to come back anytime.

On our second visit, the old man showed us his basement, which had two full floors of movies. Every time there was a new release, old movies would be thrown on the bleeze. There were also stacks of VHS tapes that had gone to the landfill over the years. It was such an incredible sight to see all those old movies stored so neatly.

I asked him why he didn’t sell them at the establishment, since it was such a great deal. He answered, “You wouldn’t want to spend your money on something that’s not going to make any money at all.” Well, it turned out that he was right about that one time…

We spent the next several hours seeing films, talking to people and snapping photos. It was such a blast! Needless to say, my friends and I are now fanatics of old movie goers. We definitely recommend making this your next weekend activity!

Have you ever considered owning your own collection? You could become rich, or you could simply have some great memories to cherish for years to come. Whichever your motivation is, I know you will enjoy getting back into the thick of the old movie experience. Good luck!

I also found a great website that gives tips and advice on how to find and purchase all kinds of old movie memorabilia. There is a huge selection of memorabilia for just about every type of genre imaginable. You can find old action movies, comedy movies, horror films, musicals, films from any time period and more! You can browse through the categories, pick out your interest and begin searching. Once you find what you are looking for, you can buy individual items or whole sets depending on how much you want to invest.

I recently purchased a complete Star Wars collection which took me almost all of a year to finish. It was very enjoyable and even rekindled my love for all things Star Wars! And I don’t even own all of the Star Wars films! The prices are very reasonable and worth every penny.
