If you’ve ever been to a casino, then you know that the casino movie scene is one of the most popular parts of the casino. But do you know why? It’s because it’s a lot of fun! There are many different kinds of movies and films that are set in casinos, and one of the most popular types is the casino movie. Casinos have been around for hundreds of years and in that time, many movies were made about the people who worked there and the stories behind them. Some of these movies even take place within the casino and you can actually watch parts of the scenes while you gamble.

Casino Movie True Stories All main characters were based in real life counter parts; however, each main character you watch in Casino is completely based on an actual person. Sam Rothstein was based in Las Vegas, California, while Nick Sousa was from New York City. Ginger McKenna was from Chicago, Illinois, and she played a girl who worked in a casino there. Many of the other characters in Casino were based off of actual people from Las Vegas that were real life counter parts of the bosses of the casinos that were in existence at that time.

Robert De Niro plays one of the better known and best loved stars in Casino, and perhaps in all of cinema. The role that he has is probably safe for him because most of his roles have been about the mob and the part of a hero. However, it’s interesting to note that he only had one major role in Casino, where he was the casino owner. That role was opposite Eddie Murphy in Dreamy (2021). The two went on to work together on Stagecoach (based on the Roald Dahl novel) and later on Stripes (for which Murphy received an Oscar nomination). While De Niro was never nominated for an Academy Award for his work in Casino, he did receive numerous statues and awards including Best Actor in a Leading Role for Casino.

Al Pacino is another actor whose name graced the screens of Casino, as well as being one of its biggest box office earners. He played a key role in both Goodfellas and Scarface. One of Pacino’s earliest films after Casino was The Godfather, which starred him alongside Marlon Brando. Pacino also appeared in The Godfather and later on dramas such as Someone to Watch Over Me, It Happened One Night, and The Godfather Part II. Like De Niro, Pacino also received an Oscar nomination for Best Actor in a Leading Role for Casino.

Another of the main players in the creation of the casino movie scene was the man known as nicky santoro. He was one of the cofounders of the mob in Las Vegas, and is responsible for much of the appeal of the city for the general public. Known as a fierce negotiator, Santoro negotiated with many of the key figures from the film, and made sure that their fates were protected. A real life and successful Las Vegas Mob boss, Nicholas “The Greek” Trilby, was also familiar with Santoro and worked often with him, as well as employing some of his people for various jobs.

Finally, one of the most recognizable faces from the infamous Las Vegas mob scene is Michael Jackson. Jackson was a huge draw to countless audiences, especially due to his incredible music. Many of his concerts were filmed in Las Vegas, and the entire production was made in the comfort of the hotel he was staying in at the time. The late Michael Jackson has also been a guest speaker at a number of events, including the induction of Bill Clinton into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Not only did he sign autographs, but he also appeared at several different concerts, many of which were filmed in and around Las Vegas.
